Scholarships

The Garden Club of Lighthouse Point Scholarship for Broward County High School Seniors was established in 2020 by Steve Izzi in memory of his wife, Kim. The scholarship offers financial aid to high school seniors entering college and for existing college students majoring in fields of study related to the environmental and horticulture at a university in Florida. Please note the scholarship funds will be sent directly to the financial office of the college you have listed in your application.

*Must be a US citizen | Must be a Florda resident | Must attend a Florida college/university

Completed application deadline is May 1.

This is a $1,00.00 Kim Izzi college scholarship for a Broward County student who wishes to pursue a career in Environmental/Horticulture or related subjects.

PLEASE NOTE: To qualify for the scholarships above, the applicant must be a resident of Broward County, Florida, a U.S. citizen or Permanent Legal Resident, and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  The Applicant must study agriculture, biology, botany, city planning, conservation, ecology, environmental, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture design, marine biology, or related fields.
